Our Story

Emma and Jarrod met in a college geology class in 2019. A few days later, Jarrod offered her a ride home, and what started as a simple drive quickly became the beginning of something much bigger.

Before long, they were spending nearly every day together. Through college, a global pandemic, and the general chaos of figuring out adulthood, they built a relationship rooted in friendship, laughter, and genuinely enjoying each other's company.

After graduating in 2022, they moved to Spokane, Washington, where they began building a life together. Along the way, Hank the bulldog joined the family and brought more personality, and chaos, than either of them knew what to do with. Oliver, Emma's cat, had been around long before Jarrod entered the picture, but somewhere over the years he became Jarrod's cat too. In fact, Oliver is largely responsible for turning a self-proclaimed dog person into someone who now happily admits he loves cats (well, at least one cat.)

Their years together have been filled with road trips, game nights, lake days, new cities, new friendships, and countless ordinary moments that ended up becoming some of their favorites.

When Jarrod was offered a job in Texas, they packed up everything they owned, loaded one bulldog, one cat, and an unreasonable amount of luggage into a car, and drove thirty hours south to start their next chapter. It remains one of their favorite adventures.

In the spring of 2025, Jarrod proposed in a field of bluebonnets outside Austin. Emma said yes.

Today, life is filled with work, graduate school, home projects, wedding planning, and exploring their new city together. Through every move, milestone, and unexpected detour, one thing has stayed the same: they are still each other's favorite person to come home to.

After all these years, the thing they're most grateful for is that being together has always felt easy. They're best friends, they make each other laugh, and no matter what's going on, they'd rather be doing it together than apart.
